The flood of 2008 is natural disaster that epitomizes the harsh effects of climate change. While we cannot quantify the extent to which anthropogenic activities exacerbated the damage, the financial and quality of life impacts levied by this event was significant and touched each individual who lives in Cedar Rapids or the surrounding communities.
Cedar Rapids Climate Advocates are local concerned citizens working to promote actions that slows, stops, and reverses climate change. As part of our work, we are providing this website with information on local events and learning opportunities. Advocates meet on the the third Friday of each month at different locations around the area. Check out our calendar for more details. We encourage you to join us in our efforts.
