Call Congress in the "Climate Phone-A-Thon" June 23 to 27

posted Jun 1, 2014, 11:19 AM by Rob Hogg

Please participate in the "Climate Phone-A-Thon" June 23 to June 27 to call your state's Congressional representatives and Senators at their Washington, DC, offices to support a carbon tax, carbon pollution rules, and other action on climate.

A phone call takes five minutes or less.  Express your support for a carbon tax, carbon pollution rules, and other action to fight climate change, and leave your name and address.  Encourage your friends, families, and colleagues around the country to call, too.  On Twitter, you can use the hash tags #ClimatePhoneAThon, #CarbonTax #StopCarbonPollution and #ActOnClimate.

This week is timed in conjunction with the national conference and lobby days of Citizens Climate Lobby, during which CCL members from across the country will be meeting with Congressional representatives, Senators, and their staff in support of a revenue-neutral carbon tax.  By calling, you can help their lobbying efforts.

You can find the Washington, DC, phone numbers for your state's Congressional representatives and Senators at one of these web addresses:

If you are able to call, or to organize calls in your state, please report them to robhogg@earthlink.net so we can track the number of calls we generate.
